The compound is mainly used to make substances like polyacrylamide and acrylamide copolymers that can be used in various industries for the production of paper, dyes, and plastics. Acrylamide Microbiological Grade is widely used in in the treatment of drinking water and wastewater which also includes sewage. It also occurs naturally in food products that contains amino acids and sugar when cooked at high temperatures. Overexposure to this chemical may cause damage to nervous system and may increase the risk of cancer.
