About Citric Acid

Citric Acid is used as an alternative to nitric acid in passivation of stainless steel and active ingredient in the production of antiviral tissues and in chemical peels as well. It has a flash point of 155 degrees Celsius with high boiling point of 310 degree Celsius. This is a weak organic acid having density of 1.665 g/cm3 in anhydrous form and 1.542 g/cm3 in monohydrate. It also finds its application as a preservative and flavoring agent in food processing industry.
