About Activated Carbon Powder

We provide Activated Carbon Powder which is a carbon processed with low-volume pores that increases the surface area provided for chemical reaction and absorption. Its high density of micro-porosity allows it to cover 500 meter square with just one gram. Thus, it has outstanding absorption properties suitable for various chemical treatments. Powdered Activated Carbon are made by using granules less than 1.00mm in size having diameter ranging between 0.15 and 0.25 mm. Herein, carbon particles are crushed up to an extent that it passes through 50 mesh sieve i.e. 0.297 mm. Activated Carbon Powder is commonly used in gravity filters, rapid mix basins, and raw water intakes.

PAC is resistance to attrition as it maintains physical integrity that can endure frictional forces. Precise ash content in the powder minimize its efficiency of reactivation. Herein, low soluble ash content PAC is used in reef tanks, marine, etc. for restricting the growth of algal and other we ed plants.
