Insolitol is an organic compound which is also known as sugar alcohol containing one hydroxyl group to each carbon atom in its chemical structure. It has a molecular formula C6H12O6 with a melting point in between the range of 225 to 227 degree Celsius. Its chemical structure have some similarities with glucose and is considered as a pseudo vitamin. Insolitol can be prepared in laboratories or it can be found in plants and animals. It also influences the insulin to control the blood sugar in human and to optimize the body functioning. This vitamin like compound may also help to reduce anxiety by affecting the nerve cells.
